Valley Forge Chorus was recently named the 1st Place Division AA Midsize Chorus along with the overall Champion Chorus at the Atlantic Bay-Mountain Regional Convention and Competition in Hershey on April 8, 2017.
Valley Forge won their first regional contest in the spring of 1972 and has continued their success through numerous regional awards and two international championships in 1983 and 2003. The members of the chorus reside in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey and rehearse each Tuesday evening at 7:30 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church in Villanova, PA.
Chorus members are committed to revolutionizing barbershop music through cutting edge arrangements, many produced by their director, Master Director Joseph Spiecker. They’re driven to spread their love of this art form through musical education and community performances.
Valley Forge is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International which is a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing barbershop harmony through education, competition and performance. This independent, nonprofit music education association is one of the world's largest singing organizations for women, boasting 23,000 members!
Valley Forge Chorus is actively recruiting new singers and their music includes special arrangements of today's ballads, popular show tunes, and mainstream music. Members say that singing powerful barbershop harmony provides a rich and rewarding experience that has changed their lives. Women of all ages find their voice on the risers and make long lasting friendships.
